Dear Glee

Dear Glee
I have never been to an alcohol anonymous meeting but the way I hear it; everyone starts with a “Hi, I’m (name) and I’m an alcoholic”. So Hi, I’m....let’s call me Hinged this time around and I’m a Gleek aka a Glee fan. Yep; I love me some losers singing covers in what I recently discovered was autotune. Just kidding; about the losers part. I live in Kenya and here our Glee clubs actually known as Music clubs are rockstars. Kinda like Vocal Adrenaline but all over the size of Illinois or something. I’m not blind to the possibility that some schools treat their music clubs like Glee but I’m pretty sure they aren’t as bad or repetitive as they are on the show which pisses me off. Hence, Dear Glee.
I love season one of Glee. Finally, a show about music in America that had nothing to do with getting voted off and a little comedy plus it was the antithesis to High School Musical. Good stuff but never really thought it would go past season one. Why? Because it was only good for season one. I knew if season two was given a green light there were only two ways it would go; WTF or FTW (colossal fail or colossal win). Turns out...I’m on the WTF line.
Seriously, what the hell is season two? It’s like the writers decided to throw out all their talent and lazy back on all the music thrown their way. I mean my God men, just because Katy Perry let you use her songs doesn’t mean you thug her video too i.e. the fireworks gig. Where the hell did that come from anyway? There were tons or at least two other scenes it would have worked with but no, you waste it on Rachel feeling sorry for herself because Finn cheated on a colleague with his ex girlfriend. Seriously Ryan Murphy; that’s not only a douche move; it’s just plain boring.
This season should have explored relationships further that weren’t in focus in season one like Tina and Mike (who share a name. Talk about Google-fail Murphy/Falchuk) and Artie dealing with school as a paraplegic and Puck and his wannabe-not-really-delinquent self. Mercedes and her Ephy (Dreamgirls) status.
Instead, they throw in a sexual harassment as a first kiss, chickening out as a solution; a new all boy school; another Glee club member (who couldn’t be anyone’s competition hence not a threat to anyone on the Glee club) a random wedding and girls being unable to do anything but lie down while the men do everything (superbowl game). The only good thing they did in season two was bring Biste in but even that is tainted by her lack of confidence in anything but football and unflattering shorts.
Dear Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, you may never read this but it needs to be out there or else I’ll just bore people who don’t even watch it with my griping (thank goodness for blogging).
Season two; thumbs down.
Faithfully;
Hinged.

Good day to all and to all.....

Well, to all a good whatever. I can't finish day cause honestly, some of us don't feel it, some us wish it never existed, some of us loved it and some of us wish we never existed in it.
Today was women's day. No, not the one where you buy her flowers and say I love you with some sort of meaning. This is the one where you greet her with the shake of her hand, look her right in the eye and say, I see you. If she doesn't slap you or decide you're crazy, then she knows the point to women's day.
I'd slap you cause you're touching me without permission however. No PMs just a little boundary issue.
I spent mine with women oddly enough. I had completely forgotten today was IWD (Int. Women's Day). I remember March 8th as my friend's birthday. She's great. So in some weird way I celebrated the day geared to making men recognise that women are more than objects of...well anything disrespectful or demeaning. I won't lie, being the object of a man's desire is hot. Some women however have not been raised by soceity, parents or themselves to realise the meaning of the day.
It is not a useless highlight on the calender. In many parts of the world, women are defined as being less in priority, importance and value compared to men or animals and forced to work under vicious conditions. Pregnant women being forced to carry huge weights in loads; being denied food and water because their husbands or fathers see them as a waste of resources.
I am lucky my father sees me as a valuable extension of his DNA. By respecting me, he is in essence respecting himself because truly, who goes around building the G6 only to trash it and refuse to maintain and still expect people to drop millions for it? Exactly; so this women's day--and yes I did compare a woman to the G6 because of its exclusivity and value--appreciate the woman you are, you have, you are around. Because she's worth it.

Best Laid Plans

I've been away doing what peeps like me do best; fight useless causes and generally stare at the sky cause we're too depressed to sleep. Nothing new, nothing old; just there.
But today (yesterday considering it's 2 am on the west coast of USA) I woke up with zest and purpose and a go get'em attitude. Why? Cause I had slept incredibly well and I have the best story in my mind in a few weeks. I have been writing my stories and they are coming along great but when the situation one story is in is so affecting that you literally don't know if you're writing fiction or fact; you need a break and mine is in the form of what I love to do best; blur lines.
So I'm not into writing vampire crap because a) it's crap and b) my vampires lie along the lines of Anne Rice's vampires. I have never read any of her vampires but when guys are describing her stuff(usually in comparison to twilight. Why, I don't know) and I finally watched that one with Brad and Tommy boy, I realised my vamps are considerably more like cousins of hers rather than the kid in the cinema swearing to bite his date's neck off for dragging him to twilight. Thanks to a movie I watched when I was young and have since jumbled up in my mind so hard that the villain and hero morph into one, I have cultivated my own brand of vamps. That's another story.
Anyhue; I am currently writing a story that blurs the lines of generic and paranormal and is pretty sellable in my opinion. In my view, humans believe they are untouchable when they have a few million pounds in their offshore bank accounts. What of humans who have access to their powers? What if there were evolved humans who have access to more of their brain and can manipulate energy into anything they want with preferences running through the species like it does in homo sapiens? Right? What of those kinds of entities? I usually end up asking such questions and bam! end up with work like Dark Saviour. And also probably forget that I am not the story just the conveyor. I try pretty hard not end up like the crazy people who forget that Hogworts is not on the 91/4 was it 3/4s platform and that Edward is not in my room watching over me (creepy stuff dude; plus my window's got grills. How you like me now?). It's not the funniest thing to go about declaring you have the love of your life standing right next to you and you have a book in hand. Eccentric people are eccentric only so far.

Sunday Afternoon in his Arms

Love; it has a funny way of creeping up on you.
It breathes a whisper on your skin; it pressing its lips on your shoulder; it burns the memory of its presence in your mind; its life in your heart.
Love; it's pretty funny.
It makes you laugh for nothing; it makes you smile at the wind; it makes you happy.
Love: when it leaves you are sad it has left; but happy to have known it. Love; what a wonderful person.

A kiss

I tasted of a man’s lips; to say it was sweet would be deceit.
They left an imprint of which there’s no fading; as yet it seems.
Tingles; thrills; all these I did feel in memory.
In sleep; dazed in sitting; his lips have played their jig.
I cannot forget it; no matter how hard I try and hard have I.
I am in need that’s dire to feel his lips on mine for a little longer than a while.
I have tasted of a man’s lips and I dare of their taste, have I need.
I have to resist for all aside he isn’t free.
A taken man has ensnared me.

Wondorous thoughts

I write novels to live and as of now I'm writing one that is closest to my issues as it may ever get...for now anyway. Basically; its a story about a kid who finds out she's a princess thanks to a philandering colonial king who holds his country hostage in his death in exchange for his second family being given a chance at the throne. Unfortunately; as usual; I am having doubts about the romance aspect of the book. Parts of me are going and gunning for different directions. One part wants to turn the character into a conniving scheming bitch; while another wants her to be untouched sexually but still loved (I don't get how that would be possible or why); another wants her to be heartbroken (of which I am inclined) and yet another wants her to have them both (as usual there're the goody two shoes and villainous options) and yet another wants her to have one (the basically goody two shoes). It's a hassle that's got me wondering; does the Almighty go through this with our lives. Does s/he sit and ponder on which direction I should take; you should take? Certain PM's should take? If S/he does; I pity her/him for it's certainly a hard thing to think of leave alone live out.

Decisions made

So; I mentioned I went for a trip up country; as above the equator. Yeah; I went visitng West side and my friend who lives there. I had a wonderful time and did some revelations and soul searching. Decided to ease on the fear of the human connection aka romance in my life. That train of thought may have been solidified by my kiss but it's something that's been bugging me long time. The proses and novels that I write are definitely something to go by. I guess I am recognising this inconspicuous year as a year of doing something with what should be my heart. It's just a void really; but I empathise (Ironic yes) enough to know what I'm supposed to feel. Okay maybe empathise is not the right word; read covers it better. I'll look for attraction because way too much of rushing into what people want to be love is happening around me. I want to enjoy the attraction; if for nothing else than the false sense of tangible, long term probability it gives people in the form of relationships. Do I need luck? I think a starting point is better suited.
